The Notifications tab allows definition of email addresses and phone numbers that receive success and failure emails and text messages of backups.
When adding email addresses or phone numbers, both require to opt into receiving these notifications. When the database server settings are saved with new email addresses or phone numbers, these will receive opt-in emails or text messages. Once the recipients completes the opt-in process, emails and text messages will be delivered.
The Success Notifications field offers selection of the delivery methods for successful backups. This can be set to No Notifications to temporarily disable notifications for successful backups without losing the remaining settings.
The Failure Notifications field offers selection of the delivery methods for failed backups. This can be set to No Notifications to temporarily disable notifications for successful backups without losing the remaining settings.
Text message notifications are not available for the Trial or Basic plans.
To add an email address or phone number, enter it in the Add Email Address or Add Phone Number field respectively and click the Add button. Opt-in messages are not sent until the Save button is clicked to save the new database server settings.
Email addresses or phone numbers can be removed by clicking the Remove Icon.
The Resend Opt-In column in the list of Email Addresses or Phone Numbers may show a Resend Opt-In Icon, which can be used to resend the opt-in message, in case the initial message did not arrive. Make sure to check your spam folders. Email messages are sent from the domain softelvdm.com. Text messages are sent from (407) 708-9400. If a phone number doesn't receive an opt-in text message, it may have been used previously with this service and STOP was texted to suspend notifications. In this case, we are unable to send a new opt-in message. To resolve this problem, simply text START to (407) 708-9400.
